INTRODUCING

JOYFUL LEADERSHIP: Becoming the Light of Christ to the People you Lead with Love

The guiding Christian principle for Joyful Leadership is the greatest commandment Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus replied, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Based on this, the book is divided into two parts:  Part 1 focuses on loving God with your all by developing Christ-centered character.  I call this part of the book - Leading Self.  Part 2 focuses on loving your neighbor through servanthood.  I call this part of the book - Leading Others.

Both Parts 1 and 2 contain core leadership practices (Leader Know How) and a reflection on the Christian underpinning that supports them (Joyful Leadership Reflection).

The book concludes with:

My dear sisters and brothers in Christ, I now come to the close of my book.  The very essence of Joyful Leadership is showing love to the people God puts into our lives.  To be the very icon of God’s love to the people we serve as leaders.  Through excellence, through trustworthiness, through integrity, through stewardship, in servanthood, in forgiveness, in prayer, in listening - we demonstrate how God in his great love for mankind has restored our divine humanity.  It is with great joy we are blessed to be able to share God’s abundant love!

May you, all the days of your life, joyfully Love God with your all and be the light of Christ to all those you lovingly serve.

MAY GOD GRANT YOU MANY YEARS!
